Working Together

Internet Marketing can be a lonely occupation.  You set your business up online with no need to have any contact with anyone else, if you choose not to.  However most successful Internet Marketers make friends online.  They join forums and get to know people.  They create relationships with their prospects, with their blog readers and with fellow Internet Marketers.

Once you have created those links with others you can consider working together, either in a reciprocal marketing venture or by creating something in partnership, e.g. an ebook, a membership site or a service site like domain hosting or graphics production, etc.

When you are looking for a business partner try to find someone who has skills that complement your own. Try not to leave big gaps in your skills base, unless you intend to outsource certain key tasks.

Look carefully at the type of business you are embarking on together and draw up a comprehensive list of necessary tasks needed in order to run the business smoothly and successfully.  Be honest about your own ability to fulfil any of the requirements and encourage your partner to be honest too.  You will then be able to work out which tasks you need to outsource, how much it will cost and whether it is viable for the business to outsource.

Enjoy the journey.
