This is the first of the Masterclass Blog Carnival publications under the title ‘Journey To Success’.  For the next eleven months we will publish one Blog Carnival on the first of each month.

Masterclass Blog Carnival

As you can see a new page has been added to the site – Masterclass Blog Carnival.  We are currently working on our first Blog Carnival for Masterclass students and hope to publish it very soon.

If you’ve ever wondered what a Blog Carnival is, well it is a collection of blog posts all written around a specified topic.  The topic can change each time the Carnival is published.

The host is the person who sorts out all the posts submitted, accepting and rejecting as they see fit.  Once they have all the posts they want to include in the Carnival they create a page that summerises the posts and lists the links to all the individual posts.  This drives traffic to the independent Blogs that have submitted posts to the Carnival.

The advantage is that everyone gets increased traffic, and the reader visits blogs that have posts written about the topic they are interested in.

Don’t miss our first Blog Carnival!

Don’t over commit!

The Internet is a great place for opportunities.  There is always so much potential for getting involved, learning, and earning.  Unfortunately what comes alongside that is complete information overload, an immense desire to do everything NOW, and often the feeling that you are somehow inadequate because it can all become too much to keep up with and you maybe are not doing as well as others.

It is essential that you are realistic about how much time you have, about what you can achieve in that time, about how much you can learn at the same time.  It is very easy to get carried away with the ‘next great opportunity’, believe us, we know – we are always interested in a new opportunity!

Make a plan, work out how many spare hours you have in reality, and only take on one thing at a time.  Set the time aside to be online rather than booting up your computer and having it running all day.  It will only encourage you to do a bit more, and it will consume your life before you know it.  Take everything one step at a time and learn each stage thoroughly before moving on to the next.  Prioritise your tasks and work down from the top of the list each time.

You will benefit in the long run if you start with a plan and stick to it.  Don’t get carried away with it all, because you may well find you become overwhelmed and get stuck in the quicksand!

Enjoy the journey.

Mandy, Rob and Jay.
