Don’t over commit!

The Internet is a great place for opportunities.  There is always so much potential for getting involved, learning, and earning.  Unfortunately what comes alongside that is complete information overload, an immense desire to do everything NOW, and often the feeling that you are somehow inadequate because it can all become too much to keep up with and you maybe are not doing as well as others.

It is essential that you are realistic about how much time you have, about what you can achieve in that time, about how much you can learn at the same time.  It is very easy to get carried away with the ‘next great opportunity’, believe us, we know – we are always interested in a new opportunity!

Make a plan, work out how many spare hours you have in reality, and only take on one thing at a time.  Set the time aside to be online rather than booting up your computer and having it running all day.  It will only encourage you to do a bit more, and it will consume your life before you know it.  Take everything one step at a time and learn each stage thoroughly before moving on to the next.  Prioritise your tasks and work down from the top of the list each time.

You will benefit in the long run if you start with a plan and stick to it.  Don’t get carried away with it all, because you may well find you become overwhelmed and get stuck in the quicksand!

Enjoy the journey.
